IELTS Listening Practice test 2024
IELTS listening practice test givesthe candidate 30 minutes. He is expected to answer a total of 40 different questions. The candidate needs to analyze the same by using the techniques like scanning, skimming, gist reading, main ideas reading, understanding logical argument, etc., to ensure a high score.
IELTS academic writing Test
The IELTS academic writing test time is 60 Minutes. This section of the IELTS exam can include different tasks, generally two. The students are given a graph, table, chart, diagram, etc. which they need to summarize the information by writing in their own words. In another task, the students have to write an essay and provide their point of view formally. The idea is to check whether you have the correct style of writing.
IELTS speaking mock Test
IELTS speaking mock Test is to check the candidate’s speaking ability and vocal clarity. The students are evaluated based on their one-on-one interaction with the examiner. This section may include three parts that check their range of speaking skills. In the first part, the examiner asks general questions. The student will be asked to speak on a given topic in another part. Lastly, the examiner asks questions about the topic given in the last part.
IELTS Exam Pattern and syllabus 2024
IELTS evaluates the candidates in four sections – Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The students get marked separately for these sections and the IELTS total score. The total score is the sum of the scores of all these four sections. The total IELTS Exam duration is 2 hours and 45 minutes. The listening test is for 30 minutes, the Reading and Writing section is 60 minutes, and the Speaking section is for 11 to 14 minutes.
IELTS Band Score
The total IELTS score is a combination of the band scores of the four sections. IELTS scores are based on the band of 1 to 9. The lower band scores, like between 1 to 4, mean low English skills. It conveys that the aspirant has difficulty in understanding and communicating in English. A band score of more than 4 means good command of the English language. It conveys that the candidate can understand fairly complex language with minimal inaccuracies.
IELTS Exam Fees
The registration fee for IELTS is Rs. 14,700. If a candidate cancels his IELTS application before five weeks of the test date, he gets a refund after deducting a 25% administrative fee. If he cancels the test in less than five weeks, he will not get a refund. The student must request to change the test date along with a cancellation or postponement fee, at least five weeks before the booked test date.
